There are eight typical quality defects in the glass bottle forming process, which are also the issues that overseas customers are most likely to raise objections to during inspection. Defects can directly lead to leakage during filling, breakage during sea transportation, and returns by end consumers. Export manufacturers need to control the source of defects from all dimensions, including molds, equipment, raw materials, and processes.
1. Bottle body wrinkles: The material droplets cannot precisely fall into the initial mold. The mold friction causes creases, and the patterns spread after blowing air. It is necessary to optimize the arc of the mold inlet and calibrate the material droplet conveying trajectory.
2. Scissors scar: The feeding scissors are worn out and the cut is uneven, leaving scars on the shoulder and body of the bottle. Regularly replace the scissors parts and fine-tune the shearing speed.
3. Dark surface: The density of the mold material is poor, and fine dents occur at high temperatures. High-end foreign trade orders adopt polished spray welding molds.
4. Pitting and impurities: Poor quality of mold lubricating oil, disordered dripping speed; Replace the food-grade high-temperature mold release oil to stabilize the operating speed of the equipment.
5. Mottled bottle body: The initial mold structure is unreasonable, and the air flow is unevenly dispersed. Before mold opening, engineers conduct fluid simulation verification.
6. Cold spot matte surface: Imbalance between the initial mold and the final mold temperature, and imbalance of the air volume of the air nozzle; The automated temperature control system adjusts the mold temperature in real time.
7. Bubble particles: Impurities in the glass liquid of the kiln, fluctuating mold temperature; Raw materials undergo multiple filters upon entering the factory to stabilize the constant temperature of the furnace.
8. Uneven wall thickness: The equipment speed is too fast or too slow, and the distribution of material droplets is unbalanced. Fix the standard machine speed according to the bottle type and pair it with an online wall thickness monitoring device.
Our factory has established a three-level quality inspection system suitable for foreign trade: automated visual inspection for molding to remove semi-finished products with bubbles and wrinkles. After annealing, the appearance of each piece is inspected manually. Before shipment, simulated ocean jolts are used for shock resistance and sealing sampling tests, and the internationally recognized AQL quality inspection standards are followed. Export goods are accompanied by complete quality inspection reports. For the high-demand European and American markets, stress-polarized light detection is added to eliminate hidden micro-cracks, control the occurrence rate of eight major defects from the production end, significantly reduce after-sales compensation for foreign trade orders, and stabilize long-term overseas procurement cooperation.
